This project will repair, resurface, and add 4 foot wide shoulders where possible to 0.4 miles of Valley View Road between Olde 8 Road and State Route 8 in Northfield Center Township.
Status:
Barbicas Construction is in the low bidder on this project.
- 10/04/2023: The contractor has begun work
- 11/14/2023: Barbicus is finishing yard drains and weather permiting will be installing surface course tomorrow
- 11/21/2023: Road has been paved and will need final stripping in Spring due to weather.
- 01/02/2024: Work is Substantially complete. Will need to touch up landscaping and do striping in the spring.
- 05/07/2024: Contactor has completed seeding and muilding. Subcontractor that is to complete pavement markings is on site.
- 05/16/2024: Subcontractor has completed pavement markings.

Maintenance of Traffic:
This resurfacing project will require closure of Valley View Road. Traffic will be detoured utilizing State Route 8 and Olde 8 Road.
