Public Notice - Boston Township:

Boston Mills Road to Close May 24, 2021

Summit County Engineer Alan Brubaker, PE, PS would like to alert residents and motorists of the upcoming closure of Boston Mills Road between Riverview Road and Black Road from May 24, 2021 until August 15, 2021. The closure is due to a road improvement project.

The project consists of upgrading approximately 3,100 feet of Boston Mills Road starting at 1,200 feet west of Riverview Road and extending to the west. The project will include milling the existing pavement, widening the paved shoulder, replacing the existing storm sewer, installing curb, making pavement repairs as needed, applying leveling and surface courses of asphalt, and applying new pavement markings. Karvo Companies out of Stow, Ohio is the contractor on the $922,000.00 project. This project is partially funded by Federal Lands Access Program grant funds.

The detour route will be posted. The detour route will involve Riverview Road, Columbia Road, and Black Road. All work is subject to inclement weather

Public Notice - Northfield Center Township:

Highland Road Bridge over Brandywine Creek Closure

Northfield Center Township, OH – Summit County Engineer Alan Brubaker, PE, PS would like to alert residents and motorists of the upcoming closure of the Highland Road Bridge, approximately 400 feet northeast from the intersection with Olde 8 Road for 120 days beginning July 21, 2021. This closure is due to a bridge rehabilitation project.

Kenmore Construction out of Akron, Ohio is the contractor on the $570,000.00 project.

There will be no through traffic; however local traffic will be able to access Highland Road up to the point of the closure, denoted with the red circle on detour route map. The detour route will be posted. The detour route involves Olde 8 Road, State Route 82, and State Route 8. All work is subject to inclement weather. 

Public Notice - Northfield Center Township:

Twinsburg Road Closure - Culvert Replacement

Summit County Engineer Alan Brubaker, PE, PS would like to alert residents and motorists of the upcoming closure of the Twinsburg Road, just west of Walters Road, for 14 days beginning August 2, 2021. This closure is due to a culvert replacement project.

There will be no through traffic; however local traffic will be able to access Twinsburg Road to the point of the closure, denoted with the red circle on the detour route map. The detour route will be posted. The detour route involves Walters Road, Hines Hill Road, and Olde 8 Road. All work is subject to inclement weather.
