Stormwater Solutions Grant Program Returns for Second Year

May 7, 2025 - Summit County, OH

After a successful launch in 2024, the Stormwater Solutions Grant Program is back for its second year, and the Summit Soil and Water Conservation District (SSWCD) is calling on individuals, homeowners, and community organizations to take part in this growing local movement for clean water and sustainable land care.

Funded through the Surface Water Management District (SWMD), the program provides financial assistance for the installation of approved stormwater management features on eligible properties. These approved practices help reduce runoff, filter pollutants, and lessen the burden on aging storm systems.

“We were thrilled by the community response in our first year,” said Stephanie Deibel, Stormwater Specialist at the Summit County Engineer’s Office. “Now we’re hoping even more individuals and families will get involved. You don’t need to be an expert, just someone who cares about water quality and wants to make a difference at home.”

Who Can Apply?

The program welcomes homeowners, renters (with landlord approval), schools, churches, libraries, and businesses located within participating SWMD communities. Those include:
•    Bath Township
•    Boston Township

•    Richfield Township
•    Sagamore Hills Township
