Description of Work: The purpose of this project is to replace the existing bridge over Mud Brook by removing the existing bridge (County Bridge No. CUY-027-0435, SFN 7745095) and constructing a new bridge, approach slabs, and stream bank protection/stabilization.
Maintenance of Traffic: Traffic will be detoured during construction. The detour route will be posted.

Status: The request for Technical Proposals from selected consultants was issued on October 1, 2007. Technical Proposals were received on October 26, 2007. Based on evaluation of the Technical Proposals, Michael Baker Jr., Inc., was selected to provide professional engineering services. The request for a fee proposal was submitted to Michael Baker Jr. on December 18, 2007. The fee proposal was received on January 7, 2008. A revised fee proposal was received on March 18, 2008. Fee negotiations were finalized in May 2008. On June 11, 2008, the County's Board of Control awarded the design contract to Michael Baker, Jr., Inc. A Kick-off meeting was held on June 13, 2008, and the design of the project officially began. The Consultant was authorized to proceed on June 1, 2008. Stage 1 plans were received on August 8, 2008 and comments were returned to the consultant on September 4, 2008. Stage 2 plans were received on November 10, 2008, and are under review.
